Ballabgarh - Sohna Flyover, Faridabad

Diwali is a festival of lights, love and joy - it’s all about lighting up lives of people. With this thought in mind, Ek Sangharsh celebrated Diwali with underprivileged children living in a slum near the Ballabgarh Sohna Flyover in Faridabad, Haryana on 11 Nov 2015.

Ek Sangharsh celebrated the festival by spreading awareness about crackers free Diwali, Cleanliness of self and surroundings and ushered happiness through distributing Notebooks, Coloring kits and sweets to the underprivileged children in the area. On the occasion, team Ek Sangharsh along with Rotary Club of Faridabad Cosmopolitan enjoyed the special celebrations with the children. 

A total of 50 children from the slum participated in the event which included on a talk on safety by Shri P P Singh and Clean City Clean Country by Shri Navneet Gumber.

 

Sharing his thoughts, Shri Ajay Kumar Bahl, General Secretary, Ek Sangharsh, said: “We at Ek Sangharsh  wanted to bring smiles on the face of people who have not been able to celebrate Diwali since years. With this thought, we celebrated this festival of joy with them in this unique way by distributing sweets, Stationery, etc. amongst these people, so that they could also enjoy this festival.”

We at Ek Sangharsh thank Shri Navneet Gumber (President, Rotary Club of Faridabad Cosmopolitan), Shri P P Singh(Founder Member of NGO-I Love My City), Shri Satish Mishra, Shri Ramji Verma and Shri Bhagat Deswal for their valuable contribution and efforts in organizing this event.
