The objective of this programme is to
promote and strengthen activities intending to improve the economic,
social, educational and cultural standards of the poor children in
general and of the weaker sections in particular so that they are able
to compete on equal terms with the children coming from economically and
socially forward communities.
Along with enrolment for the free
tuition classes, a painting competition was organized in which around 90
children between age group 4 to 14 years participated. The
participants were provided with free color sets and drawing sheets.
Prizes were distributed to winners in three different age categories.
